Today's Adult Conversation: "Are There Rules to Getting a Husband?"
From Carrie Bethel Hey guys, my boyfriend is 40 and I am 35. We have both been married before. When we first started dating, he told me that he wanted "a woman"... someone that can become his wife. I believe that when a man is ready, he is ready. It's about TIMING, not how great we are as females. We can make the best girlfriends, but if HE is not ready, it's not going to happen. From: Theresa Forbes It is true that men marry women that are like their mother. My husband told me that I had hands and feet like his mother and that I remind him of his mother. Just before we got married I met his mother who lives in England, and we are simuliar in a lot of ways. I did not pressure him to marry me he came to that decision on his own. From: Leeta Lidell When it is time for God to open your eyes to your spirtual mate, He will. God was preparing my mate just he was preparing me. My husband and I both were in treatment together he remembered me but I did not remember him, God did not open my eyes to him until we both ended up at the same church in the ministry. We are both in our 50's and when we jumped the broom a lot of people told us were an inspiration to them because it allowed them to know that God still has someone specially created by the Masters hands just for them.

Topic of the Day: What happened to make you cut ties with a family member? SOME OF TODAYS E-MAIL COMMENTS...... Chime in on today's show topic and submit your email Wednesday July 30, 2008 What happened to make you cut ties with a family member? Submitted by: Natalie Ross My dead beat and abusive husband has been deceased for almost 5 years. His mother and I did not see eye to eye before his demise and she went as far as putting his girlfriend's name in the obituary. Silly me forgave her and managed to muster up a relationship with her for the sake of our 2 kids. Well nearly 5 years after he has passed away, I met the man that I know God intended for me and my children and I have never been happier. I let the ex-monster in law know that I am seeing someone now and that things are serious and she told me that I was disrespecting her and she stopped talking to me. Well, my kids were at her home and my boys told me that she told them that I was dumb. That was the end for me. I changed my # and I moved to another state and I don't plan on getting burned by that witch again. Love your show. Take care.
Submitted by: X Terrell I know the heart ache of cutting ties with a family member. Years before my grandmother passed in 2004 my brother took her to a lawyer to have her WILL changed making him the Beneficiary to her estate. He and I discussed. It the day before her funeral and I told him that it was wrong for him to have done that and that he should disguard it and never make any indications that he had done that because it would tear our family apart. Everything was suppose to go to my mother. But because my brother didnt like my mothers boyfriend, he had the WILL made up and at the time of this my grandmother suffered from 3rd stages of Alzheimers. She didnt know what she was doing. Needless to say he brought it up after he promised me that he would not mention it. My brother is supposedly a pastor and a man of God. It tore our family apart and we all dont talk because of this. Its been almost 5 years I miss my brother dearly. I forgive him and if he is listening to this show. I want him to know that I love him and I want him back in my life. We all make mistakes, Even men of GOD. Submitted by: Sonia Spencer I have a twin sister and i had to just leave her alone. she was very jealous of me and she tried to belittle me to make herself feel better. She always put me down so i came to realize she is not good for me or my family so I had to let her go. it is hard because I dont have any girlfriends in this city but it is worth it.

Once again another phone call gone unanswered by... Guess who? Ofcourse, it’s your Baby Daddy. As a single mom, it’s a daily struggle to keep your mind focused and not fall into a depressed state because you are carrying a full load alone. You are often confronted with stereotypical comments and bad treatment just because he decided he didn’t want to be with you anymore. - We didn’t have the baby just to keep you.
- We don’t spend the money on ourselves.
- We don’t like being on welfare. (Who likes begging for money?)
- You can’t get any just because we got a baby together.
